Our Mission

Your Personal Vision Assistant — Here to Serve You

Through developing AI4Sight, we’ve witnessed firsthand how the intersection between AI and medicine can be incredibly useful in improving people’s lives. This winning combination has the power to revolutionize the way people with visual impairments live their lives. Our goal is to use AI4Sight to maximize the efficiency and safety of navigation for people with vision impairments, as safe travel results in fewer injuries and deaths.

Our Inspiration

Tia and Ryan's uncle has a condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa, a genetic eye condition in which the photoreceptors in the eye degenerate over time, rendering affected individuals blind. As children, they noticed how he struggled to navigate her house during family visits and had trouble performing daily tasks.

Therefore, siblings Tia and Ryan were inspired to make an app to help him avoid injuries and reduce his navigation problems—with that, AI4Sight was born! Currently, the app has 800+ downloads on the App Store from 7 different countries—we hope to keep expanding our reach.
